General Bio: Lady Moonfyre is a respected writer in various genres covering topics of self awareness, sexuality, and spirituality. She is an active supporter of personal rights and freedoms and is involved in community projects that support the freedom of all people to explore their diversity of self expression and identification without fear of retribution from state, community or religion. She feels the use of poetry and story telling is a positive means towards the creation of supportive community that can help preserve or cultivate positive sub-cultures.
An accomplished and published poet, Moonfyre has been writing on topics that touch the reader on all levels, opening the doors of their experience through reflections of her own. Her poetry has a universal appeal and has been used by counselors and other respected “healing professionals” to help reach out to people assisting in creating an empathic bridge between the counselor and the client.
Moonfyre’s talent with spoken word has captivated audiences
in a variety of listening situations, gathering praise world-wide. As a result
she has received requests to appear as vocal talent on a number of artistic
ventures. Recent projects include an independent film project in California
(The night of the Living Photographer) and plans are in the works for her
appearance as a guest vocal talent on an
independent music CD produced in the UK (Vessel- First Mistress)
She has also employed her vocal aptitude in facilitating
workshops and lectures. Topics range over a number of areas but most of them
have a common element in respect to the search for fulfillment of self and the
importance of expanding awareness through education, understanding and empathy.
Moonfyre finds that utilizing story telling as a method of delivery in these
workshops helps to capture the audience and make their experience memorable.
Dramatic story telling or use of metaphoric examples not only makes the
experience enjoyable but is an effective tool for retention of the information
conveyed.
She is a director with her partner in their small independent production company Fyrewind Productions Inc. [founded in July of 2003 as a merging of her design company Moonfyre Designs (1998) and his multimedia company Imageswim Multimedia (1995)]
Fyrewind Productions Inc is involved in creating and
marketing their music in various
genre’s, publishing poetry, producing guided meditations and atmospheric music,
along with presenting workshops and lectures.
Moonfyre has four daughters, 1 dog, 2 cats and 3 degus, and resides with her Partner in Alberta, Canada.
