A little bit about me…

My passion lies in working on computers. I am A+ and Network plus Certified.

I love building and tinkering with computers and then connecting everything together. I’ve always had a love of computers, digital communication and the age of binary 🙂

I was in the front lines before the Internet was what it is today. Running a BBS was awesome, especially when my dad got me my own phone line for my BBS server. He was always getting mad when he’d pick up the phone and hear the sound of my modem going full tilt LOL.

I learned a lot in the last 35 years, and now also create 3D scenes and pictures using Poser, light wave, 3D studio Max and a few other software suites… I’m not a master of any of them, I just “dabble” in them for personal enjoyment. You can see some of my work on the showcase page.

Websites are cooler than BBS’… NOT

I have spent the last 15 years planning, designing and creating websites for small business’, personal use, and even a couple for non-profits. I have had to learn Photoshop, creative thinking at the visual level, and of course how to “code”” as well.

My preference is to build websites via word press and have learned a ton about security and website hardening in the process. It’s been an exciting, and sometimes frustrating trip… I’ve learned that even if you don’t “think” you have anything to hack, hackers will try your site just to see if they can get in and make your life miserable. I don’t know what it is about WordPress that cause hackers to go all evil and try to take a site built on it down.

My latest Interest is 3D printing.

I now own an I3 duplicator and have done all the “recommended Mods”, and have even managed a few prints in between modding sessions… LOL Now that I have the majority of them complete I plan to print for our front-liners anything I can that they “need”. I also plan to educate myself on how to get the best prints possible. So I can replicate, and print useful house hold items, and other items.
