WordPress Site to Facebook in 5 steps

I was thinking that even though I am getting a reasonable amount of traffic to my blog (considering how new it is), I wanted to see if there were any ways to increase traffic and invite new viewers to read my articles. After a bit of search and review, I settled on using the “Buffer” service. Its a free service that allows you to link “all” of your social media accounts to each other.

First, sign up for a Buffer account. You’ll have the option to select a free or paid account. I chose free, simply because I’m just getting started and want to keep my costs down. I know I can upgrade at any point in the future. Once you’re signed in, you can start connecting your site’s social media accounts.

  2. Login to buffer, click “Manage your social accounts” at the bottom left hand sidebar
  3. Click “add new Social Account”
  4. Click on the type of social account you’d like to connect.
  5. Once You’ve connected your accounts you’ll need to install the WP to Buffer plugin, then hit the “Authorize” button in the plugin settings. After that you should start seeing your new blog posts appearing on your Facebook page.

With most social networks, if you’re already logged into that specific social account, you’ll only need to authorize Buffer to use your account. If you’re not already logged in, you’ll need to enter your login details.
